Seasons Greetings Classmates,
2020
It has been a year we will never forget!
All of us have in the very least been touched with a new way of going about our every day life. In a bigger sense, we hope you and your loved ones are safe, well, and to those who had family or friends affected by illness, separation or loss, we all wish and hope for a better 2021.
ALUMNI ASSEMBLY
This Friday, would have been our Puyallup High School annual alumni assembly. We would have be reminiscing the past and meeting to visit with our classmates once again before the holiday. At this time, we want to thank each and every one of our committee members who reached out to make a phone call, made a connection, sent an email, and touched base with those who were planning on attending the 2020 reunion that unfortunately led to our cancelling this year. And to all our classmates. Your generosity in paying your registrations forward to create a budget for the 50th reunion was remarkable. It shows the value you have in staying connected.
OUR COMMITTEE
Our committee consists of 18 members with several wishing to rotate out at this time. If you would like to become more involved with communications, locating a venue, fundraising or contacting old classmates for our 50th reunion, please reply to this message. We plan to begin meeting again as soon as it is safe to do so in person.
FINALLY
Since we cannot meet in person, we’ve prepared a little song for you to remember the special year that 2020 gave us.

The Greatest Class Alive
As 2020 heads into the record books as one that has turned our world upside down, we hope this finds everyone well.
Many of us took time over the summer to do what we love in our backyards and I spent 14 days backpacking the Wonderland Trail of Mt. Rainier. 150 miles and 60,000 feet of elevation gain and loss and what an amazing experience right in our backyard.
Our committee work this year is nearly complete too. Again, many thanks to Bill Raymer who donated over 200 lbs of roasted coffee from his farm.Karen Barker made baskets to be raffled off for the alumni assembly. Many of us donated art, photography, candles, scarves, PHS memorabilia, table decor, balloons, and many of us have offered to donate our own personal registrations in order to help offset the cost of securing a venue for our 50th.

Welcome to the Future
Welcome to the future and let our class be the one to roll that in.
Take note of your reunion committee above participating in a Zoom video conference today. I know none of us could have imagined our reunion meetings looking like the one above but, I do remember the talk and seeing a telephone or television that would allow video conversations mentioned back in the 70's. In the very least we watching them play out with futuristic scenes from the Jetsons every Saturday morning. To that end the Jetsons have set the stage for us now and it pretty much sums up the way we are.

May 16th, 2020 Reunion Postponed
Regretfully, our committee voted and sadly it was decided to postpone the reunion for May 16, 2020 and reschedule it for a later date in October. Charlie's has been very easy to work with and we will contact them after they reopen and will secure that date as soon as we can.
If you registered and paid, a committee member will be emailing you within the next few days with additional information. At this time, we are simply holding your spot in October and holding on to any payments made for October's reunion. If you wish a refund, the instructions will be in that email.
We hope each and everyone of our classmates, along with their families remain safe and stay connected in other ways by phone, email or social media during this challenging and unprecedented time in our lives.
Again, we regret any inconvenience this has caused and we were very much looking forward to seeing everyone in October, 2020.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us at any time. We are all in this together.
Sincerely,
Your Puyallup High School Class of '75 Reunion Committee

COVID-19 Update
Our committee is currently working hard to make informed and wise decisions for our upcoming reunion, scheduled for May 16th, 2020.
As of today, we have a committee meeting scheduled for March 24th, 2020. At that time we will discuss our concerns and options and have a plan in place for you.
As many of us have had to adjust how we conduct our business and daily lives, we ask for your patience as we work through this challenging unprecedented time in our lives.
If you haven't done so, please follow these two state and federal health agencies for current and up to date information in our area.
Wishing you good health filled with hope to see you soon.
