2024 Countdown to 2025

50th Reunion Update

As you might have guessed your reunion committee has hit the ground running. This is where the rubber meets the road as we put into action the plans we have made for the big event!

Thank You!

At this time we want to once again thank each and every one of you who has donated, money, time, auction items, talent and effort into our 50th reunion. It is going to be a grand event full of nostalgia, socializing, music, celebration and merriment!

We would also like to give our reunion committee a big shoutout! They are very committed to following through with the information from the surveys you took during the planning process and show un-wavering energy!

Venue:

This month we are securing and finalizing the Waller Road Grange with payment and purchasing insurance required by the grange.

  • May 17, 2025
  • Waller Road Grange
  • TBD -10 pm
  • Cost $35 (per person)
  • Family of former classmates welcome
  • Map to Main Event

Registration Cost Update

At our meeting in November 2023 it was decided and voted on to charge $35 for the registration fee per person for the main event. Each classmate will be able to have one guest at the same charge of $35. This will cover a buffet dinner, beverages, including wine, beer, seltzer, water, coffee, tea and sodas.

Again, through your generous donations we received over the last 5 years, the cost of venue, decorations, music, beverages, and nice door prizes have all been met on our budget.

Early Registration Begins

April 1st, 2024

Be looking for the registration form coming to you via email, around April 1st, 2024. We are bringing this early so classmates who live across the country will be able to make affordable transportation reservations well in advance.

Furthermore, if you are someone who lives far away, plan for meet-up activities Friday evening through Sunday.

There is another big reason we would like to start registration early. Once we receive your registration and payment, we will create momentum and excitement for others to get registered when they see a classmate's name who will be attending.

Deadlines to Register

  • Early Bird  Registration Begins April 1, 2024
  • Late Registration March 1, 2025
  • Last Day to Register April 30, 2025
  • NO DAY OF EVENT REGISTRATION

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call any one of our committee members. We are here for you~

Until our reunion, expect monthly communication here on our blog!

We'll send you an email when there is an update! So make sure your email is correct and your spam box is checked regularly!

ANNOUNCEMENT

Greetings Classmates,

Important Update Reunion 5-0

We have some really spectacular news! At our last committee meeting it was reported we have now made our fundraising budget for the upcoming 50th reunion and have done this because of you!

Most importantly, it is clear from the surveys you participated in, you wish to have as many classmates as possible attend the reunion by keeping costs low. You also want to have a comfortable venue that is inviting and casual more than fancy. We have listened to you and your committee has worked very hard at fundraising to do just what you asked.

We couldn't be more proud of our accomplishments to date!

Venue- Cost covered through fundraising. The Waller Road Grange is beautiful for our venue. It is clean, spacious, full of 70's nostalgia, and we have it for the entire weekend.

Insurance- Cost covered through fundraising.

Decorations- Cost covered through fundraising. We plan to decorate the grange "gym" in fabulous memorabilia from photos from the annual to posters that replicate the era to look like PHS gymnasium the evening we graduated. You will be blown away with the ideas and effort that our decorating committee has come up complete with a photo booth.

Name Tags- Cost covered through fundraising. Replica ASB keepsake card from 1975 for each classmate registered.

Food- As you voted on the survey (95 of you). You would like a casual buffet, nothing fancy. The food committee is working on this and will have menu completed by registration next year. As registration approaches you will be able to make specific choices tailored to your dietary needs.

**Your registration fee will cover your food you order as all other costs have been met through our fundraising budget.

Beverage- Cost covered through fundraising. As you voted (95 of you) have requested, there will be an assortment of beverages from wine to beer, sodas, water and seltzer completely included in your registration. These requests also fit with the grange contract requirements. Again, beverages are included.

Bartender- Cost covered through fundraising. The grange agreement requires a licensed, insured bartender to serve wine, beer and seltzer beverages.

Music- Cost Donated- 70's background to fit the theme, please send in your requests.

Entertainment- Cost covered by fundraising. A special slideshow set to music as well as pre and post event get together options. We also plan to have great door prize drawings the evening of the main event.

Finally, the most important part here, please join me in thanking the following people, for their contributions of countless hours of time, fundraising or usually both, Rod Mohr, Lisa Hess, Audrey Looker, Ron Kline, Terri Martin, Jim Chipps, Marie Laguatan, C.J. Bryant, Sheila Todd, Chris Ennis, Karen Barker, Ron Druet, Debbie Koski, Diana Stemp, Barbara Brewster. These people have your back!

Decoration Committee Update

Thinking back, remember how it was your junior year of high school?
The plans you made two years in advance, helped form your destiny...

That's how this reunion planning is playing out. Going on the theme "Old School 1975", the decoration committee has started work on recreating ideas and memorabilia for our 50th Reunion with a goal of turning Waller Road Grange into Hanawalt Pavilion, June 5, 1975.

After canceling our 45th, Terri Martin and Lisa Hess had fun this past weekend as they recreated retro ASB cards for classmates.

You won't want to miss this reunion, it will be beyond amazing!
